Anna Maynard (Nee Hebblewhite) is a Tasmanian singer/songwriter/pianist.
Her natural flare for song-writing in combination with her years of musical theatre and classical vocal training create a sound that is powerful, professional and unique.
With influences of Eva Cassidy and Regina Spektor, Anna’s pop-driven piano and acoustic ballads are rich with catchy melodies, lyrical quirk and musical ingenuity. Drawing inspiration from the subtleties of life, Anna sees the extraordinary in the ordinary, the infinite in the moment and with these timeless themes and child-like freshness her music speaks to the hearts of audiences both young and old.
An observer by nature, Anna’s music reflects the places in which she has lived – wild Tasmanian mountainsides, rugged Western Australian coastlines, remote central Australian deserts – where the vastness of nature meets the intimacy of small communities.
Originally from Tasmania, Anna has performed in venues and festivals throughout Australia, including the Northern Territory Top Half Folk Festival, the Tennant Creek Desert Harmony Festival, the Cygnet Folk Festival and the Nannup Music Festival.
With her performance of original compositions and broad range of covers, Anna captivates audiences in an intimate and memorable experience.
