Raj is a 50 year old solo musician who has lived and worked in Launceston for over 25 years. Having played guitar and bass in various popular local groups and duos over these years (including The Dead Kilkennys 1996-2006 & Ball and Chain Duo 2012-2015), he has a keen sense of what Tasmanian crowds enjoy and has amassed a repertoire of classic songs and anthems largely from the 60s-90s.
He uses high quality full band backing tracks for an authentic and varied sound throughout the evening. No endless streams of monotonous acoustic guitar ballads are heard at Raj’s gigs, as he prefers to get an audience on their feet
to the beat, or singing along to big choruses.
Audiences of all ages on any occasion consistently respond well to this era in popular music and as such Raj is a regular of the gigging musician fraternity in the north of the state.
