Murph has been the Weatherman at TNT9, Tas TV and Southern Cross Austereo since 1984. He moved to Tasmania in 1982 to work at Radio 7EX which is when he started voice-over work for commercials and- program promotions at the TV station.
Since that time he has helped promote most, if not all of the state's major events and charities via the weather segment during the Nightly News. During the day he works in the world of Superannuation before joining the news team each night to present, what he feels is the most important part of the news.
As Murph says: "It's a big job, a huge responsibility and one that all the viewers know- I take very seriously."
