The professional dynamic Tassie duo, Silver Zephyr, have been entertaining and capturing audiences since 2010 with a genuine intent – For their audiences to have fun and feel like part of the experience. Garry, on guitar and backing vocals, and Aly, on lead vocals and hand percussion, have been performing in and around Melbourne, the mainland and Tasmania with an innate ability and passion for engaging audience members.  Providing atmospheric/emotive music through to those upbeat dancefloor tunes to sing along with, highlights this duo’s versatility.  Their sincere approach to each performance and dedication to entertain is a culmination of years of combined experience and a fine-tuning of their craft.  This pair truly complement each other on stage, working so well together, evident by their audience.

Making his guitar sing is the product of Garry spending over 40 years learning, perfecting and performing the six string – acoustic and electric - in solo instrumental shows, various bands and duo ensembles.  He started playing the acoustic at age 14, immediately after he fell in love with the electric guitar.  As well as creating and executing arrangements not often heard on the acoustic, Garry brings an animated flare and inviting disposition to his performance.  While Aly has always had a natural desire for the old time "musicals", she solidified what she enjoyed with professional vocal tuition as well as studying the genres of soul, jazz and blues.  Aly’s rich, powerful and emotive vocals, along with her theatrical performance help make up the experience for their audience.  Both musicians spent 6 years in a working classic rock covers band before making Tasmania their home.

Silver Zephyr's varied and extensive song list includes covers of the all-time classic hits from modern artists, to the rock greats, to the classics from the 60s, 70s, 8os and 90s, covering the genres of rock, rock n roll, pop and country.

(Playing residencies, at corporate functions, festivals, birthdays and private celebrations,) Silver Zephyr are available to perform at your venue, function, special celebration or event around Tasmania.  The venues they appear at include The Waterfront Hotel, Richmond Arms Hotel, Mackey’s Royal Hotel, Longley International Hotel, plus the Annual Burnie Australia Day Festival.  Their most memorable performances were on the iconic Ghan and Indian Pacific rail journeys across Australia.
