Stringhouse Ensemble was founded by Sandra, a professional freelance violist who performs regularly with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria and other leading orchestras across Australia. While our foundations are built on performing at the highest orchestral level, Stringhouse was created with a clear intention: to bring exceptional quality, integrity and warmth to live music for events of every kind.

Every performance is prepared and delivered with the same precision, care and musical sensitivity expected on a symphony orchestra stage. We work exclusively with highly trained professional string players, and we guarantee the highest level of musicianship, presentation and reliability, whether the event is intimate or large in scale. We provide flexible ensemble options including string duos, trios and quartets, allowing us to tailor the sound and presence of the group to suit each occasion. From elegant wedding ceremonies and refined corporate events to vibrant celebrations and private gatherings, we carefully shape each performance to complement the atmosphere and vision of our clients.

Now based in Tasmania while continuing regular work in Melbourne, Sandra is passionate about ensuring that high quality live string music is available not only in major cities but right across Tasmania.
