Like a warm blanket, this duo aims to comfort and calm. Playing mostly gentle ballads and soul songs,- Ani- and- Harry- found common ground focusing on the sensitive and sentimental.- Weaving their combined influences, Ani’s soul and art pop stylings and Harry’s experience as a gypsy and modern jazz guitarist, this duo have entertained audiences in jazz lounges, at wedding ceremonies and jazz festivals throughout the state. Ani and Harry are often asked to play for larger functions, will bring a- full band if you’re after a few toe-tappers, and- are always up for a chat to help bring your event to its full potential.

Billy Whitton is one of Tasmania’s best known solo artists, and regularly performs at numerous venues throughout Tasmania and- on the mainland. In Hobart he can be found playing at Wrest Point Casino, Salamanca, Mona, New Sydney Hotel, Republic, Beachfront 32, Coterie Coal Valley and at numerous corporate events. He tailors his performance to suit the occasion, whether it is background guitar solos or classic songs from the 60’s, 70’s or 80’s. He is able to read the audience and modify the repertoire to the event. Billy is known as the crooner of Hobart.

Tilly & Billy Tilly, influenced by recent artists such as Madeline Peyroux, Amy Winehouse, and classic jazz singer Billie Holiday is the owner of a beautiful voice and is much admired by all in the music industry.- With Billy, they cover classic torch ballads, using and jazz numbers but can also include Billy’s crooning styles or earthy blues numbers.- Centered around listening type audiences or background at functions, their swing tunes are also good for a dance or two.- Tilly & Billy can also enlist two extra musicians to create a four piece band if this better suits your occasion. Billy and Sabine have a wonderful sound together, performing all genres of music in duo form, from Blues and Pop, to Jazz and Funk. Billy’s legendary guitar playing and crooning voice cover a whole range of sounds and emotions, while Sabine’s clear, athletic voice performs soulful Funk and RnB, or effortlessly swings her way around a Jazz classic. Occasionally Sabine will bring her trumpet for a smooth jazz solo or funky embellishments. Together they provide a full musical experience not to be missed out on. Blueflies are a 4-piece originals/covers band with Paul Huxtable lead vocals and guitar, Steve Rogerson lead guitar and vocals, Jeff Reeve bass guitar and Kevin Regan drums Blueflies are sure to appeal to lovers of Blues and Roots. Paul and Steve started playing together as a duo in 1995 thru to 1998,- known as ‘Helen’s Idea’, with residences at the Good Woman Inn and the Blue Note during that time. In 1999 Jeff Reeve joined the band on bass guitar. The trio continued playing blues venues around Hobart notably the Republic Bar from 2000.- In 2004 Kevin joined on drums. Along with originals penned over the last couple of years, they also cover songs in tribute past masters; Willie Dixon, BB King, JJ Cale, Tom Petty, Tony Joe White and living masters, Buddy Guy, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Jonny Lang, Tom Waits, Ben Harper, Mavis Staples, Bonnie Raitt and more. There is always something special or unexpected with this band having such an extensive catalogue. Paul’s vocals and rhythm guitar, Steve’s firing guitar solos plus the- rhythm section of Jeff and Kevin keeping it tight.- They provide a top night’s entertainment and always have something to keep the dancers happy.

Dave Steel & Tiffany Eckhardt| |
Dynamic duo of the Folk/blues/roots Australian music scene, this husband and wife team, Tiffany Eckhardt and Dave Steel are seasoned songwriters and performers, combining acoustic guitars, mandolin, harmonica and ukulele with beautifully crafted songs.- Based in the far south of Tasmania, their music is inspired by the landscape, family life and life as artists. Tiffany and Dave charm audiences wherever they play with their stories and songs and have them either laughing or crying or both! This year they are working on a new album of songs written in and inspired by Tasmania: honest, touching and uplifting, this is original Australian music at its very best. Dave Steel has been writing songs and making albums for the past 30 years. As well as performing with Tiffany, Dave performs solo or with Ross Smithard on violin performing Dave’s original blues/ roots material. He has- played and toured with some of Australia’s best known artists including Weddings Parties Anything, Archie Roach, Kasey Chambers, and Kavisha Mazzella to name a few. Dave was inducted into the EG hall of Fame in 2012 for his contribution to Australian music- as a member of- Weddings Parties Anything. Award winning songwriter, Tiffany Eckhardt has- written and recorded eight successful independent releases. As a songwriter and performer, she has been adopted by the- folk/roots festival scene in Australia as a firm favourite, receiving rave reviews and radio airplay across the country. Tiffany is currently recording a new album with Dave, Ross and Anne Toner in Tasmania. Tiffany also directs choirs and works as a song writing mentor and tutor.
Felicity & Harry| |
Felicity (vocals and guitar) and Harry (guitar) perform a selection of vocal and instrumental tracks from a range of styles, including jazz, pop, soul, and blues. Featuring classic repertoire from artists such as The Ink Spots, Tom Waits and Ella Fitzgerald, this eclectic duo act is perfect for any setting. The duo has experience performing across Tasmania at venues and private events.
Finn Seccombe Duo| |
Finn Seccombe is a diverse singer/guitarist playing styles ranging from pop through soul, RnB, reggae to straight jazz. He is usually accompanied by Simon Reid on guitar or bass and if Simon is already booked, with Kelly Ottoway. Finn has recorded several albums of his own, the most recent being Trumps “˜Derailed’. These songs are all loosely in the genre of roots reggae, perfect for any outdoor festival or live music event, and can be performed as duo or alternatively, depending on budget, with the full band. You can expect a high energy performance with soulful vocals and rhythmic innovative guitar work. Simon and Finn’s guitar styles, although quite different complement each other and they are always coming up with new and exiting ways to approach the repertoire.

Fiona Stewart is undoubtly a singer / songwriter of international quality. Her coppery warmth and depth of her voice and songs have enchanted audiences from Sydney to Paris. She moves gracefully through the genres of jazz and blues, folk and pop, while delivering her original material in an intimate and unique style. Fiona’s background as an actress (N.I.D.A. graduate) and her rich life experience make her a moving performer. She’ll make you laugh, she’ll make you cry. She’ll make your evening. Fiona is also able to provide an extensive repertoire of jazz and popular standards in a duo format.

Folk Yeah! deliver an appealing mix of easy listening ‘singer songwriter’ repertoire from American, Australian and Irish sources. Classic song writing from the likes of Bob Dylan, Nick Cave, Dolly Parton, Leonard Cohen, Townes Van Zandt & Stevie Wonder alongside Old Timey, Bluegrass & Country. Folk Yeah! perform joyfully, with innovative arrangements and harmonies. Expect a mix of classic covers and well-crafted originals.
Hui & The Muse| |Hui Tocker and Peter Hicks have been performing regularly on the Hobart music scene for several years. They are both singer/songwriters who play a variety of musical styles from blues, folk, jazz, country and rockabilly as well as their own original material. They enjoy playing at various venues from festivals local and interstate, to Willie Smith’s Apple Shed, Mona, Peppermint Bay, Wrest Point Hotel and Casino, The Longley International and The Republic Bar and CafÃ© and at private functions. While they usually play as a duo, they will also provide a three to five piece band when required. Hui and Peter bring to you, music that is harmonious, whimsical, evocative, soulful, foot stomping and infectious and together, they are captivating.
Jane Morris| |Jane Morris is a freelance singer, flautist and recording artist specialising in many genres of music including Irish, Jazz and Folk and Classical music. An accomplished and versatile musician, her instruments include all members of the flute family, Irish whistles and voice. Over the last two decades,- performance opportunities have taken her around- the world including all over Australia, Singapore, Ireland and the US, playing with various bands, ensembles & orchestras. Jane studied flute (Bmus Performance) at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA)- and the College of Music in Dublin. Whilst in Ireland, working as a freelance flautist, she travelled extensively performing at various venues- including the- Town Hall Theatre (GALWAY),- Christchurch Cathedral, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral,- RTE studios and the- National Concert Hall (DUBLIN). Moving back to WA in 2005, Jane established- performance opportunities with resident gigs and regular touring. As a flautist highlights include performing at the American National Flute Association convention in Times Square NYC (2009), the- Bell Awards at the- Wharf Theatre in Sydney (2011), the Australian Flute Festival in Adelaide (2009) and Canberra (2011) and Mary Poppins at the Theatre Royal in Hobart (2018). Performance highlights as a vocalist include the Fly By Night Club,- WA (2014), Albany Entertainment Centre WA , (2014/2017), Fairbridge Festival WA- (2014/2017), Ellington Jazz Club WA (2010/2014) – MONA ,TAS The Void (2017) & The Nolan Gallery (2018), Devonport Jazz Festival, TAS (2017/2018), Dark Mofo Winterfeast Festival, TAS (2017/2018) , Oz Manouche Jazz Festival, QLD (2018) and the Taste of Tasmania Festival, TAS (2018/2019). Jed Appleton| |The young, rising star of the nu-folk revolution has been hard at his craft for years, fascinating crowds mixing a unique blend of dynamic rhythmic stylings on the parlour acoustic alongside smooth but powerful textures from his raw vocals accompanied by strong lyrical sense far beyond his 21 years. This minstrel has captured the ears of many, from street corners to sold out venues all across the world supporting the likes of Passenger, Matt Corby, The Cat Empire & Stu Larsen, since leaving school at the age of 16. Jed’s tunes start off like many other folk songs, but once they get going tend to give you a big old punch in the heart-strings. For Jed, it really is all about the music and his deep passion, actualized by his simplistic yet authentic approach is both impressive and rare. Since 2012, Jed has created 4 independent records and toured the UK/EU/IRE/AUS circuit many times over, wiped the records from any online presence and recorded his self-titled album in 2016 with Chris Vallejo in Sydney, with albums no.6 & no.7 already written and recorded.
Lachlan Court| |Vocalist & Pianist POP| JAZZ | BLUES | FUNK | SOUL Lachlan’s rich piano arrangements, smooth vocals and the ability to totally immerse himself in the music, has captivated any audiences. With versatile musical experiences; from intimate jazz gigs, through to filling the dance floor with high energy rock/pop covers, he has a natural knack of being able to read the room, and select the right songs to create a positive vibe. His diverse repertoire has something for everyone as he touches on styles such as pop, jazz, blues, funk and soul. He can tastefully rearrange songs by changing speed and style to fit the atmosphere of the venue. He also leads a trio with drums and bass, incorporating funk, soul and reggae grooves as well as three part harmony to create an infectious live experience. Lachlan is absolutely passionate about music, and he will always strive to create a special performance for your event.
M.T. Blues Music| |Matt and Troy have been performing festivals, live music venues and busking around the sate for the past 5 years. Drawing Influence from the early Masters of the Delta Blues and modern Rock and blues artists, Matt and Troy have created their own unique sound. Matt taught himself Bottleneck Slide on Cigar Box Guitars then moved on to Resonator and Lap Steel Guitars. Troy’s passionate and compelling vocals will take you on a musical journey back in time. Playing a mixture of original compositions and covers from 1930’s thru to the modern era, they will leave you wanting more.
Mia Palencia, In Good Company| |Mia Palencia In Good Company is a unique collaboration between two islands. While- pursuing her music degree on the island of Tasmania, songstress Mia Palencia, who hails from Malaysian Borneo, approached Tasmanian jazz arranger and keyboardist Kelly- Ottaway with the idea of forming an ensemble to explore both her original music and- improvised jazz. The duo recruited double bassist Hamish Houston and drummer Liam- O’Leary, thus completing the line”up. With 15 years of experience in the music industry under her belt, award”winning jazz- crooner and singer”songwriter Mia Palencia is no stranger to the Malaysian music scene.- Having released her first jazz album at the age of 16, she was subsequently awarded Louis- Vuitton’s Generation Next Award. She has since released 5 albums and continues to be- featured at music festivals and prominent corporate events across Malaysia, Singapore,- Indonesia and South Korea. Some of her past clients include Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Porsche,- Mercedes Benz, BMW and Nokia. Since its formation in January 2012, Mia Palencia In Good Company have performed- extensively throughout Tasmania, being featured at key events, including Jazz in the Park- 2012 and Devil City Swing Festival. Their self”titled debut album was launched at the- Clarence Jazz Festival in February 2013. An invitation to perform at the Kota Kinabalu Jazz- Festival inspired the ensemble to undertake a Malaysian tour in June 2013. Mia Palencia In Good Company have since returned to Tasmania, and continue to develop- their brand of music: an eclectic mix of jazz, soul, RnB and latin rhythms.
