DANJASOL formed in 2023 is a performer based in nipaluna, lutruwita / Hobart, Tasmania, who infuses elements of soul, jazz and R&B music, with interpretations of standards and modern-day music reflecting their sound. With a heavy influence from artists such as Donny Hathaway, Eric Benet, Luther Vandross and Erykah Badu. Accompanied by local musicians of nipaluna DANJASOL puts their experiences of heartache, unrequited love and hope into this music.

Danjasol is a beautiful ensemble with a talent for creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. My Mum and I thoroughly enjoyed their thoughtful and soulful performance and look forward to attending more of their gigs

In experiencing DANJASOL’s gig at Pablo’s, I was filled with a feeling of nostalgia throughout their soulful set. It was very clear that every musician had a deep passion and an endless amount of respect for the artists they were covering. They demonstrated a deep understanding of the music they were playing and tried to pay homage to not only the artists but also the songs and the genre that is soul as a whole. As an audience member, I couldn’t help but feel this sense of bliss as the music gave me a sense of familiarity and warmth, leaving a wonderful impression at the end of the night as I went home and reflected on the night.
