As an actor and singer, John has worked extensively across the globe in large scale music theatre productions. Some highlights include his acclaimed portrayal of Dr Frank N Furter in the Rock Horror Show, Ned Schneebly in School of Rock, Rum Tum Tugger in Cats and Bernadette in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Most recently he appeared as Phil Spector in Tina, The Tina Turner Musical and as High Priest Annas in Jesus Christ Superstar. 

John can be heard regularly on ABC radio. He has presented statewide Afternoons, Evenings and Weekends in Tasmania, as well as providing regular content for national late night program Night Life. He has also presented and voiced content for 7HO (Hobart) and JOY949, (Melbourne). John was a regular traffic and weather reporter for ATN (Victoria and Tasmania), being heard across major networks including NOVA, KIIS, HIT, 3AW, Smooth, GOLD and Triple M. John provides the male demonstration voice to the hugely successful vocal warm up app, Warm Me Up App. 

He has MC’d and or performed extensively across Tasmania for organisations including John X Presents, Mona, The Festival of Voices, Wrest Point Casino, Clarence Council and ABC
