Mike Carr is widely respected as one of Australian music’s most consequential performers & songwriters.

In 1990, Mike created one of Australia’s most successful corporate show bands “Le Club Nerd”, playing venues all over Australia form Burswood Casino Showroom in WA to the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

In 1996, Mike’s creative interests lead him into the world of country music.

In 2000 he signed a publishing deal with ABC Music.

His songs “New England Highway” & “The Anzac” were recorded by Adam Brand with the latter winning “Heritage Song of the Year” at the Golden Guitar Awards in 2003. Mike was signed to Compass Bros Music that same year and released his debut album in 2003 gaining 2 golden guitar nominations for the song “Up on his Shoulders”, one being for “Apra Song of the Year”.

In 2004, Mike co-wrote the song “Real People” with Melinda Schneider, winning the Golden Guitar for “Apra Song of the Year”.

Over the next two decades Mike would go on to write songs for Adam Harvey, McAlister Kemp, Graeme Connors, The Wolfe Bros, Kaylee Bell and many more including Adam Brand’s “Get Loud,” “Milestones” & “Party Down Under,” Brands most streamed song.

As a performer, Mike’s versatility is his greatest asset.

Playing in Festivals such as CMA Nashville, CMC Rocks, The Gympie Muster, The Deni Ute Muster & The Sydney Comedy Festival main stages.

He’s entertained thousands of people from all over the world as a performer for Royal Carribean Cruises.

He has been the MC/compare of Australia’s biggest Country music festival, CMC Rocks, since its beginning 15 years ago.

His comedy alter ego, Buddy Goode, is a two-time Aria award winner for “Best Comedy Album” and also a Mo Award winner for Best Comedian.

To add to this, Mike is what some would call a bit of a “human jukebox.”

He’s played thousands of acoustic gigs over the past three decades in Pubs, Clubs, International Hotels, casinos and more all over Australia, performing a vast repertoire of songs from the past 60 years of top 40 music.
