Stellar is an exciting and professional acoustic duo and band, lead by two of Tasmania’s most experienced and versatile performers: Tony Mak and Samantha James-Radford.

Tony has been one of Tasmania’s most sought-after solo performers since 2013 and has led various other duos and bands across the last decade. As a soloist he has also supported the likes of Kate Ceberano and Thirsty Merc.

Samantha is a seasoned and long-time stage performer and star of plays, musicals, concerts and cabarets for over twenty years. She has also sung in some of Hobart’s best corporate bands in recent times and has been performing with Tony as a Duo since 2024, earning rave reviews and performing at countless events and venue gigs.

In Stellar, they both take the role of lead singer and their unique voices and engaging singing styles weave together in rich harmony which - combined with Tony’s skilled guitar playing - bring new life to many all-time classic songs, modern hits and a few more eclectic tunes. Versatility is the key and you will get everything from classy and easy-listening Lounge Bar vibes through to dance floor filling hits.

And Stellar is more than just a fantastic acoustic duo. Joining forces with performers from Tony’s other bands, Stellar is also an Acoustic Trio through to a 6-piece party rock band.
