The "Tassie Devil's Own" have been thrilling Tasmanian audiences with their nod to traditional, contemporary Celtic, Australian and Roots American folk. Performing festival favourites like Galway Girl and Dirty Old Town through to up tempo catch your breath driving fiddle tunes the band are as popular as ever. Their vocal harmonies are riveting and their sets of tunes keep everyone who is in the mood for a knees up on their toes. They have recently performed at Cygnet folk festival, Bright Eyes Cafe and for the Irish Society at Glenorchy Football club and have upcoming performances at Dark Mofo and Willie Smiths.
They also have available a 30 minute story song folk tale about the convict bushranger "Matthew Brady" - tell the tales of derring do of the colonial history of Tasmania. Brady is the historical figure on whom the band name is based "“ as he was a member of the "Devil's Own" Irish fighting force.
