The Robinsons have been entertaining and evolving since 1999. With a history of playing to large and small crowds at Hobart pubs, including the Uni Bar, Telegraph Hotel, Customs House Hotel and more recently the Republic Bar and New Sydney hotels; The Robinsons focus mainly on performances at private functions and special events, captivating audiences at a range of events, including the Taste of Tasmania and the spring festival at the botanical gardens.

Their private function credits are too numerous to list, suffice to say that they have played at every major function venue in southern Tasmania. As a covers band they satisfy a range of tastes and ages, tending more towards the eclectic with their choice of songs. Doing so enables them to avoid the "jukebox effect" and to produce performances of extraordinary energy and intensity. The Robinsons love to play.

Further information about private functions:
We can offer different products for different parts of the night, in order to best fit in with what is required. For example, if your event is a wedding, you might want quiet background solo acoustic music while people are eating or between speeches. You might then want the band to start after speeches, to kick off the dancing and less formal part of the evening.

We provide our own PA system, which can be used for you to plug in an ipod of your own music between band sets, or we can provide break music on an ipod if you prefer. We can provide a cordless microphone for speeches. Once a booking is accepted and a deposit received, we are fully committed to the event. With hundreds of successful private functions experience, we are proud to say that to date we have never had to cancel a performance for a private function.
