Troy Bradshaw

description

Troy Bradshaw is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist with more than 25 years of experience performing live music around Tasmania.
In 2022, he began building a repertoire of his favourite popular songs, reshaping them into quirky and unexpected acoustic covers.

Since then, he has been performing regularly around Hobart to fantastic responses and is looking forward to expanding his audience even further.

He delivers a professional performance full of energy, personality, and fun—playing all the songs you love, just not the way you’ve heard them before.

Troy began his musical journey in cover bands in the mid-90s, then moved into original rock bands throughout the 2000s and beyond.
In 2018, he returned to the world of covers with the ’70s-themed rock band The Flares, along with a range of other cover projects along the way.

His extensive experience fronting and playing in various rock bands has given him the ability to truly engage with an audience and deliver every song with passion and conviction.
He loves applying his creativity to present songs in fresh new ways while still remaining faithful to their original spirit.

Let him entertain you—let’s have some fun.

We have listened to Troy Bradshaw play live with acoustic guitar several times. His variations and arrangements of classic rock and pop songs, particularly from the 70s and 80s, are refreshing and easy to listen to. We particularly like his raw, strong voice, possibly developed from a heavy metal background, which supports many different song styles. We thoroughly enjoy listening to Troy as both a feature act and as background music.

I caught Troy Bradshaw’s acoustic set at The Central Hotel recently, and it was an absolute treat. As a solo artist, Troy brings a rare kind of authenticity to the stage—just him, his guitar, and a deep catalogue of hits spanning the 1980s to the 2000s. His covers are more than just renditions—they’re heartfelt reinterpretations that show real respect for the originals while adding his own soulful touch. From classic rock ballads to nostalgic pop anthems, Troy’s setlist had something for everyone. His guitar work was crisp and expressive, and his vocals carried both power and warmth. What really stood out was the connection he built with the crowd. Whether you were singing along or just soaking in the vibe, Troy made the room feel like a shared experience. It’s clear he’s not just playing songs—he’s telling stories through them. If you get the chance to see Troy Bradshaw live, don’t miss it. He’s the kind of performer who reminds you why live music matters.
