From acoustic ballads to high energy dance tracks, they provide a modern, versatile and professional performance to suit any audience or venue. Born 12 years ago from infamous Hobart party band "Inferno" with lead singer (Michaela) and musical director (Adrian). Previously known as Mojo they have performed all over South East Queensland and Tasmania playing Casinos, Resorts, Pubs, Clubs, Corporate and private functions. More recently, Adrian and Michaela have moved back home to Hobart and have been playing Hobart's premier waterfront venues, corporate functions and weddings on a regular basis. Mojo plays an eclectic mix of your favourite songs from the 70s through to the latest top 40 chart hits. Our unplugged acoustic set list features unique steel string guitar and vocal arrangements of famous songs played like you've never heard before.- Mojo is constantly rehearsing new songs, following new trends and upgrading equipment to keep up with the latest technology. Mojo have reinvented themselves many times over the years to keep fresh and ahead of the curve. As a result, Mojo can play a wide range of songs and styles of music.   • A classically-trained vocalist, actor and presenter with special interests in music theatre, jazz and children's entertainment.  Allison performs beautifully solo, as a duo with Andrew Short  and with trio "Swoon".  An exceptional performer whose credits include prominent Tasmanian Festival of Voices, Community Christmas Carols and numerous lead roles in major theatre musical productions.  Allison can adapt to a number of styles (including pop, folk, country, classical and music theatre). Allison Farrow Equally at home in front of an orchestra or in a country music hall, Allison is a versatile performer with almost 30 years of performing experience across a number of genres. She has performed throughout Australia, Europe and Asia and has been involved in festivals worldwide, including Edinburgh Fringe, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Ten Days on the Island, Festival of Voices, MONAFOMA and TasPride. A classically trained soprano, Allison has played roles including Christine in The Phantom of the Opera, Lily in The Secret Garden, Papagena in The Magic Flute, Cosette in Les Miserables, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, Claudia in Nine, Judy/Ginger in Ruthless! The Musical, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and Sylvia in the world premiere of For the Term of His Natural Life. Her one-woman cabarets I’m a Stranger Here Myself: the Songs of Kurt Weill, In the Still of the Night: an evening with Cole Porter, and Dumb Blonde: the genius of Dolly Parton have played to popular and critical acclaim. In 2013 she presented Spring Fever: Allison Farrow with Kelly Ottaway and band with the Theatre Royal, Hobart. For Bel Canto Young Opera, Allison has performed the role of Serpina in Pergolesi’s The Perfect Wife and the title role in Peter Maxwell Davies’ Cinderella. She has also worked with IHOS opera, in productions including Rapture and The Divine Kiss, and recorded a solo work for soprano, Incantation Echo, which was broadcast on Classic FM. Allison performed in Dylan Sheridan’s chamber opera, starchild, as part of MONA FOMA in 2013. Allison provided the voice for ‘Betty Bug’ in Blue Rocket’s animated television series Buzz Bumble and featured numerous times with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, narrating/singing for Little Red Riding Hood in 2014, Maximus Musicus Visits the Orchestra in 2015 (and again in May 2019) and The Tale of Gibson in 2016. Her children’s shows have been a regular fixture in the Festival of Voices and include Sing a Rainbow (2016), Rhymes My Nanna Taught Me (2017), More Rhymes My Nanna Taught Me (2018) and Jazz Hands (2019). Allison performs regularly with her jazz quintet Allison Farrow & Friends for corporate and festival events, and is a member of the glamorous female harmony trio Swoon. Allison Farrow and Andrew Short Allison and Andrew have been performing together for more than 25 years, sharing the stage as the Cosette and Marius in Les Miserables (2000), Christine and Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera (2013), and Eliza and Freddy in My Fair Lady (2019). Known as the gorgeous couple behind the Festival of Voices perennial sell-out event, Afternoon at the Ritz, the duo have also featured for the Clarence Jazz Festival with their show Lullaby of Broadway, and featured in Judy Tierney’s Burning Desire Festival in 2020. Allison and Andrew are both local artists with extensive lists of individual credits.

  • The Angela Bryan Duo have been performing in and around Hobart since 2005. They performed regularly through the summer months of 2005/06 at the Source Restaurant at Moorilla, and enjoyed Sunday afternoon residencies at The Beach House in Sandy Bay during 2006/07 and 2012/13, and at Fish 349 in North Hobart during 2007/08. Other regular venues have included The Prince of Wales Hotel in Battery Point, The Fern Tree Tavern, The Queen's Head Hotel,-  Hadley's Hotel and Wrest Point Casino. They have performed at the Hot August Jazz and Taste of the Huon festivals and for numerous weddings, parties, art exhibition openings, etc. at such venues as Peppermint Bay, the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania, the Bahai Centre, the Derwent Sailing Squadron and the Long Gallery. 2012 saw the release of their CD "Skylark" which features covers of some well known jazz and popular songs.   • Bernie Bruce has been playing and performing music since he was a teenager, completing a bachelor of music at the Australian Institute of music in 1999. These days he also works as an electrician, however music is and has always been his real passion. Performing locally in Hobart, privately and publicly, mostly as a solo artist and now a recently formed a trio. Although predominantly Bernie has played cover gigs, he is extremely excited at the prospects of writing and playing more of his own music.

He tailors his performance to suit the occasion, whether it is background guitar solos or classic songs from the 60's, 70's or 80's.   • Charlie & Me Acoustic Duo Comprises of Vocalist/Performer CharlieKath Crothers and Guitarist/Vocalist Darren Lloyd combining quality vocals and guitar – playing songs from the 80’s, 90’s and Noughties to ensure a great night/day out or event and leave you cheering for more!   CharlieKath Crothers CK’s music career started as a young adult in Launceston singing in a few garage bands and performing in local musical theatre. While living in Sydney she joined successful Sydney Cover Band – Rewind and did some guest appearances with The Fabulous Picasso Bros. She formed Take 2 Party Duo in 2012 and has performed at Launceston Country Club Casino’s Tonic Bar, The Star Bar, Sporties Hotel, O’Keefe’s, Devonport’s Mollies Bar and numerous Functions and Parties. CK also sang Jazz and Swing with Launceston’s St Joe’s Big Band in 2010-2011. In addition to Take 2 Party Duo she is also now performing in Charlie & Me Acoustic Duo.                                            Darren Lloyd Darren’s Career as a Professional Musician spans more than 30 years in Tasmania and the Mainland. Daz has worked on the Bass Strait Ferry Service – The Spirit of Tasmania for 7 of those years and has supported numerous Tribute Bands notably for International Band “Smokie” in 2016 and Brian Cadd. Other supports have included Thunderstruck, The Eagles, Queen, Chisel, Pink, Johnny Cash and the Neil Diamond Super Hits Tribute Shows. Darren is a renowned Solo Singer/Guitarist and has worked in numerous Bars and Nightclubs as well as Social and Corporate Private Functions

  • Originally from Ireland, Charlie McCarthy is an Australian based violinist/fiddle player who has performed with symphony orchestras, Celtic dance bands, chamber ensembles, jazz combos, bluegrass and Irish bands as well as being a session musician/soloist for movie soundtracks, pit orchestras, studio recordings and everything in between. Charlie began learning the violin when he was two years old and comes from a classical family background. From an early start in the Suzuki system and humble beginnings playing viola in youth orchestras, busking and string quartet gigs at weddings he has gone on to perform as a professional orchestral musician, session recording player, live looper and band leader in folk and jazz ensembles. Charlie has performed at most of the major music festivals and music venues in Australia with the bluegrass group The Seals, jazz quartet Belleville and presently with Hobart based ensembles The Harry Edwards Quartet and Django’s Tiger. As an educator he has previously held the position of Head of Strings at Perth College in Western Australia and Head of Strings at St Michael’s Collegiate in Hobart. Charlie is currently a lecturer at the University of Tasmania in contemporary violin and also offers online violin lessons for players of all ages and styles. He presents Professional Development Seminars through the Australian String Teachers Association (AUSTA) and coordinates string workshops and camps throughout Australia. As an artist constantly developing and refining his own pedagogical philosophy his students benefit from his genuine love of music and his ability to kindle artistry as well as sequencing practical technique. Current projects in include original jazz with the Harry Edwards Quartet (www.harryedwardsmusic.com), developing a new type of polyphonic violin bow (www.polycordebow.com) and also producing the Postclassical Violin method book series for the modern player. Above all, Charlie McCarthy just loves playing the fiddle and having a great time sharing the joy of music with others.

  • Classix Rock Duo are Stephen Styne Ashton & Charles Holyman. Stephen "Styne" Ashton, better known for his 30 years of touring Australia and overseas with The Blues Brothers Revival Band and Styne's Legends, with his good friend on guitar Charles Holyman (also from Blues Brothers, Sugartrain and Girl Friday) have added another string to their bow and branched out to form a rock duo together featuring classic songs from the 70's, 80's and 90's, covering artists from Elton John and Bruce Springsteen to Pearl Jam and Cold Chisel.   • Crystal Sky is a singer songwriter originating from Kiribati in the South Pacific and raised in Tasmania. Since the early 2000's she has performed with numerous bands across Tasmania and is a well known singer in Hobart's vibrant music scene. She has been inspired by many vocal greats such as Mariah Carey, Chaka Khan, Lauryn Hill, Renee Geyer and Indie Arie to name a few. She prides herself in recreating well known covers with a twist of her own groove, soul and funk with her voice and acoustic guitar. Crystal Sky also performs with Kevin Cooney on bass guitar who has recently toured and supported Bonnie Rait and continues to be a staple of the Hobart music scene since the 80s.   • Dan Vandermeer is a Hobart based singer and guitarist who can be found regularly playing around some of the city's most iconic venues. Dan plays a mixture of pop, rock and acoustic music and performs best when the crowd is up and dancing. A 2014 graduate of the University of Tasmania's Conservatorium of Music, Dan is an adept guitarist and also a blossoming singer/songwriter. In the recent past Dan has toured in North America with Sydney based band Jefferson and lived in Toronto, Canada for a year and a half playing lead guitar in the city's #1 cover band The Marc Joseph Band. Dan has also studied 2 years at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music majoring in Jazz Performance. Have Dan join with Bianca Clennett to form a dynamic duo for your next event.
