    Hobart Function Band
    The Hobart Function Band formed in 2015 when the musicians were hand-picked to perform at the inaugural Rolex event at Constitution Dock for the conclusion of the Sydney – Hobart Yacht Race. Since then, along with further Rolex performances in 2016, 17, 18 and 19, they have performed for many major events, parties and weddings at such venues as The Hobart Grand Chancellor, Wrest Point Casino, Frogmore Creek and Home Hill wineries, The Derwent Sailing Squadron and Crowne Plaza Hobart. The band members are professional, highly skilled and experienced; consequently the Band’s sound is tight and dynamic and includes exceptional vocal harmonies. The Hobart Function Band has a huge repertoire covering most musical genres and appropriate set lists can be curated specifically for your event. From chilled to dance to funk and rock the Hobart Function Band has it covered!

    Hui & The Muse
    Hui Tocker and Peter Hicks have been performing regularly on the Hobart music scene for several years. They are both singer/songwriters who play a variety of musical styles from blues, folk, jazz, country and rockabilly as well as their own original material. They enjoy playing at various venues from festivals local and interstate, to Willie Smith’s Apple Shed, Mona, Peppermint Bay, Wrest Point Hotel and Casino, The Longley International and The Republic Bar and Café and at private functions. While they usually play as a duo, they will also provide a three to five piece band when required. Hui and Peter bring to you, music that is harmonious, whimsical, evocative, soulful, foot stomping and infectious and together, they are captivating.

    Imagination Jungle
    Imagination Jungle is an 80-minute performing arts group activity for K-6 years. This program is ideal for empowering self-confidence in presentation skills, cooperation in the classroom and improved health and well-being outcomes for all who take part. Sessions teach participants about all the jobs involved in producing a theatrical stage show. Participants develop an impromptu performance by creating masks, musical instruments, costumes and using texts from selected plays and songs. Also, they get to take their mask creation home. Program Requirements: Imagination Jungle requires a large area to be creative and noisy, with four large rectangular tables.

    Improv Roving Performers

    Isaac Westwood is a solo acoustic cover artist based in Hobart with a diverse range to suit almost any setting.     Jamie Pregnell
    Jamie Pregnell is a Guitarist, Composer based in Hobart, Tasmania and has been performing extensively within the Tasmanian jazz and improvised music scene for over the past 10yrs. Jamie has attended the Banff jazz workshop in Canada, awarded Arts Australia Grant to study under Aus Jazz great James Muller and recently released his latest album in 2020 “Sleepy Town” featuring some of Australia’s top Jazz musicians. Jamie performs regularly in Hobart with both his trio and quartet at many of the local venues and festivals.

    Jamie Willson
    Jamie is a well known and sought after percussionist within the Hobart music scene. Jamie is multi-talented, playing both classical percussion, drum kit and jazz vibraphone and has received the Clarence Jazz Festival Ian Pearce Scholarship in 2018 and the Jazz Improvisation Outstanding Student award at the West Texas A&M University Band Camp in 2019. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical Percussion at Utas and was awarded the Susan Williams Prize for TCE music in 2020. He has been studying percussion and drum kit since 2011, studying under Tracey Patten, Matt Goddard and Gary Wain. Jamie was selected for, and participated in the Australian Youth Orchestra Young Symphonists program in 2016, 2017 & 2018. In 2018 he won the Hobart Eisteddfod Just Percussion Special Award ““ Most promising percussionist. He is also currently a permanent percussionist in the A Grade Glenorchy City Council Brass Band and a member of the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra Percussion Ensemble. A keen jazz player, playing vibraphone and drum kit and studying improvisation under Kelly Ottaway. He has played on stage at the Clarence Jazz Festival with George Washingmachine and Adrian Cunningham. Jamie is always interested in collaboration and can step into any percussion/drum kit opportunity. He plays across a broad range of genres and is equally comfortable as a soloist or member of an ensemble. As a solo vibraphonist, Jamie enjoys playing jazz standards, in particular works by the Modern Jazz Quartet, and easy listening songs. He is equally at home playing solo classical percussion repertoire. Jamie is based in southern Tasmania but he is happy to travel. Perfect for your event.

    Jamsetters is a four piece string group performing an eclectic mix of popular hits from the fabulous 50s, 60s 70s, and beyond. They play traditional well known folk music including jigs and reels with the emphasis on rollicking songs with audience participation. Having performed recently to such organisations as Folk Clubs, Hobart City Council, Mathers House, Cafes, Restaurants Sporting groups, Community groups, Private functions, Festivals and Bush dances – their versatility is well suited to many groups. Jamsetters are available for concerts, functions, festivals, parties, dances and pop-up performances.

    Jane Morris
    Jane Morris is a freelance singer, flautist and recording artist specialising in many genres of music including Irish, Jazz and Folk and Classical music. An accomplished and versatile musician, her instruments include all members of the flute family, Irish whistles and voice. Over the last two decades,-  performance opportunities have taken her around-  the world including all over Australia, Singapore, Ireland and the US, playing with various bands, ensembles & orchestras. Jane studied flute (Bmus Performance) at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA)- and the College of Music in Dublin. Whilst in Ireland, working as a freelance flautist, she travelled extensively performing at various venues- including the- Town Hall Theatre (GALWAY),- Christchurch Cathedral, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral,- RTE studios and the- National Concert Hall (DUBLIN). Moving back to WA in 2005, Jane established-  performance opportunities with resident gigs and regular touring. As a flautist highlights include performing at the American National Flute Association convention in Times Square NYC (2009), the- Bell Awards at the- Wharf Theatre in Sydney (2011), the Australian Flute Festival in Adelaide (2009) and Canberra (2011) and Mary Poppins at the Theatre Royal in Hobart (2018). Performance highlights as a vocalist include the Fly By Night Club,- WA (2014), Albany Entertainment Centre WA , (2014/2017), Fairbridge Festival WA- (2014/2017), Ellington Jazz Club WA (2010/2014) – MONA ,TAS The Void (2017) & The Nolan Gallery (2018), Devonport Jazz Festival, TAS (2017/2018), Dark Mofo Winterfeast Festival, TAS (2017/2018) , Oz Manouche Jazz Festival, QLD (2018) and the Taste of Tasmania Festival, TAS (2018/2019).
