    Women Of Rock
Women Of Rock is a 4 piece band that showcases the music of some of rock’s greatest female artists from the “Ëś70s right up until the present, with the majority of songs being from the “Ëś80s and “Ëś90s. The concept was the idea of guitarist Jimmy Reece who recognised the need for a rock band that played a great list of highly danceable rock classics that resonated with a wide age group. This is what led the band to mainly focus on songs from the “Ëś80s and “Ëś90s and to make the act even more unique, all of the songs are by female singers – women of rock. Jimmy has been involved in the music business for several decades, most notably with his band, Bang The Drum in the early “Ëś90s – having chart success both here in Australia and overseas. His teaming with singer Sherry Rand was a perfect fit for Women Of Rock. An incredibly talented vocalist, Sherry performs the diverse song list with ease, giving punchy renditions of some of the most loved songs of the last few decades. With the addition of a well-tuned rhythm section in the form of Phil Lancaster (bass) and Ian Howard (drums), Women Of Rock is the perfect “let’s dance and have a great time”Âť band.
